Biiig difference to me - kinda annoying. I’m sure it’ll grow on me eventually - but the show is loosing its pizazz, I hope they can turn it around.

Cool, can’t wait for the first season to drop, everyone be pissed that it’s not the original office, and then the series is abruptly cancelled after two seasons if they even make it to season two.
Hopefully you’re doing better!
I know someone who made some money on bitcoin (enough to ‘retire’ in his 30’s) - he’s proud of his NFT collection and even has a large print of one of those dumb apes which he owns lol.
I don’t hear him talking much about cryptos and such these days. (Instead I hear a lot more about how it’s “over” for Ukraine any day now, lol)
Everyone has a unique identifier. If you don’t share that with anyone, how would they know who’s vote it is? Couldn’t the number be randomized and a new UUID provided on a routine basis?
Every American has a Social Security number, but it’s not exactly like we’re told to broadcast it to the world… I don’t see why something like that couldn’t be implemented here using technology.
My point is the general ledger technology of the blockchain which would be beneficial here.
But of course this is all a pipe dream. America is damn near a Kleptocracy and both political parties have written laws to prevent a third political party from ever arising.
I’d love to see that happen, But it’s because America won’t switch to a direct democracy. Instead we have a Kleptocracy run by corporations and the 1% who have power over both parties in America. However if it were possible to create a third political party where every member of the party earns only one vote maybe it would give people power back over corporations. But it’s a pipe dream, I know it’ll never happen.
I personally envision a future where we use blockchain technology to create a new direct democracy party in which every member has a unique identifier and the blockchain ledger system used to track polling data. Every individual member of the party would have one vote in each poll at ever level (federal, state, regional, etc) - for every single thing that gets a vote, and the elected politician representing that party would be required to vote based on the polling data.
Everyone would have access to a copy of the ledger to confirm their votes are counted accurately, and they can review polling data to confirm their elected politicians are voting based on polling data, and the representative would be replaced if they do not adhere to the results
Yeah, I certainly won’t use any product associated with that muskrat.
I’ve been so tempted to make and sell custom flags printed with pro-Biden/LGBTQ themes, then have pro-trump messaging printed on top using a water-soluble ink so that these idiots would hang the flags proudly like they always do…only to have the flags change completely the first time it rains hahaha. I’d love to see them frantically trying to pull down a flag in a rainstorm 😂
I’m not talking about “habitable” either. I’m talking no countertops, no tile flooring, no mouldings, no finishings whatsoever. It is an empty “unfinished” shell with the intention that the buyer who moves into the home will fully furnish everything, including all the cabinets etc to match their personal tastes.
This indeed was a scam to sell fake investment properties to the up-and-coming Chinese middle class. There are entire ghost towns full of these investment properties that nobody will move into because there is zero other infrastructure for any residents if they actually moved into the property lol. It’s kinda bizarre and insane that the government allowed it to happen for so long.
That’s kinda a cultural thing (which I’m not so certain wasn’t part of the ruse itself).
Long story short, supposedly the Chinese “want” the clean empty slate so they can “customize” the home to meet their desires. People were told that they need investment properties because that’s what westerners are doing to make money. Simply buy an “empty unfinished home” and eventually someone is going to want to buy that property in the future and you’ll be rich!
My partner speaks a native language which is extremely rare - only a few million people worldwide speak the language. So uncommon that it’s hard to find software to teach me the language. A real-life babble-fish would make life a million times easier when visiting her family who doesn’t speak English (I assume, since I know that AI including Chat is capable of translating to and from the language fairly well with good grammar, but I doubt that it would be able to easily synthesize speech patterns for a rare language compared to converting their language to English. But I could be wrong lol.
I haven’t done much with Excel and Word these days, but I have not had a single issue opening standard documents. The PDF import capabilities for LibreDraw work reasonably well. Many MANY years ago I fiddled with OpenOffice and then LibreOffice before moving to Office365 for a while.
Now I’m back to LibreOffice for the past 5+ years and haven’t had any complaints
Lol, oh sweet child. You have much to learn about what a corporation says, and what they’re forced to do by government regulations. Without them, corporations can (and will) do anything they want for the sake of more profits.
Unfortunately, with a country run by a bunch of geriatrics who hardly understand the concept of the “internet” and hardware/software, let alone the nuances of different social media platforms or how different communities within the internet interact.
I avoided chrome for a long time. Finally I made the switch because FF was getting too slow on old computers back in the day. Lasted for maybe five or six years before I started getting some bad vibes. Why am I letting google run the web browsing software I’m using? This can’t/won’t be good in the future.
At least five years ago I made the switch back to Firefox, and haven’t looked back. I love having adblocking that works (I use a router level ad block and ublock origin just in case to ensure I block almost every ad on the internet lol).
I’m honestly surprised it took people this long to decide to move away from Chrome.
Mitch has had a series of bad falls over the past year, this isn’t just poor hearing. Something else is going on and this is elderly abuse keeping him in office
Victim complex much? Shesh who the heck cares
Back when this incident first happened, there was a few articles posted that day, and someone posted a reply on one of the threads, but I’m too lazy to find it now.
Basically they said they worked at a university research lab where Rush was conducing pressurized testing on the capsule (seals and such). They’d conduct half a dozen tests in one day, have one “success” and Rush’s team would call it a “success” and move on to the next test.
The brewery I hang out at sells the onewheels - they’re an authorized dealer. The brewer and co-owners all have XR’s which they ride all around town. It sounds great, they use them often…
Except when you talk to them about their injuries… One guy fell and broke his wrist once, another guy broke and cracked a rib, the brewer broke his shoulder one time, then his wrist another time.
Yet they still ride them!!
I got a pint - rode it a few times until I few off once and haven’t ridden it since. I’m looking forward to selling it soon enough.
