Edit: just for anyone who passes by: try to stick with integers in a currency’s smallest unit of division. (This is only one small bit of this problem, but the number of times I have seen currency values in floating point makea me psychotic.)

The dismissal of a sexually selected trait just because it usually is far more pronounced in one sex than the other seems extemely premature to me.
I would argue chins are actually already quite different between the sexes - to the point where people will have surgery to change their appearance if their chin doesn’t conform to societal ideals.
Sexually selected trait seems like an avenue of research that shouldn’t be so easily dismissed.

You seem to be ignoring that Assange either knowingly or unknowingly risked peoples’ lives, people who had often given those lives into great risk in service of their country.
When the leaks first happened, I was supportive of Wikileaks (a natural position for an anti-war person like me). Later, when it was revealed that there had been no or little due diligence to ensure the information had been vetted and scrubbed, I realized how extreme it can be on both ends of the political spectrum.
Stop trying to paint this with some large political brush.
Assange is not a hero. The US government is not innocent.

For the non-religious, there is no difference between the person above and a relgious believer.
I think it’s reasonable to ask why people still hold unfounded beliefs with the greater interconnectedness of the world making it pretty plain that not all these religions can be divinely inspired truth, so many of them are necessarily imaginary.

I have never experienced that in the various places in the US I have lived.
I have lived in an old building where the voltage could and would sometimes drop too much for modern electronics to handle. A power conditioner or UPS resolved that if you run into that particular problem.
I mean, yeah, but I grew up in the northeast. You get a power cut from storms, ice, winds taking branches down, etc. You would usually lose power for less than a day. This maybe happened once every couple years?
This was 30+ years ago for me now, but that kind of minor outage is almost unavoidable.
I’m not sure why Atlanta would have a harder time than upstate ny, but I am willing to believe you. Its just not been my experience anywhere I have lived (which has mostly been what you describe: above ground lines).
