Aw yeah, poppinKREAM.
Too bad proxy wars don’t count
I think this is a good point. When I got here, before I started shaping my feed, it was basically rule196, furry porn, tankies and memes.
Actually… A lot like Reddit in the Digg days, minus the tankies.
Less “gems” and rage comics and “Le”, but the same idea, modernized for 2023.
It was those of us (probably in this Lemmy thread, ironically, 15 years-ish later) who outlasted the Le gems of Reddit, and turned it into the modern place.
Then, spez. Fuck spez
Or, maybe, the world is more liberal than you’ve been led to believe as your circle of influence grew smaller as you got older.
Does this feel like Reddit did then? Does to me.
Okay, fair enough. Although, honestly, I’m struggling to figure something out and maybe you know.
If Lemmy users all hated Reddit and Reddit users so much, why did they all go there and try to convince everyone from Reddit to come to Lemmy when the API debacle happened?
Mass exodus from Reddit is because of API, not because the marijuana subreddit is called trees. You think the number of users skyrocketed the day API closed because people were mad about foodporn? No.
How many times are you up to now? I’ve counted at 30 times you’ve posted this so far
I’m more annoyed they’re intermingled. The small userbase here isn’t posting enough to fill a feed, but the bots do make things weird.
If you’re in a news community, politics, tech space, etc. it can be pretty annoying to have both bots and users posting. Maybe if it was a news community that was only bots or no bots, that would be an improvement.
You changed the headline of this one also? What is your deal man? Just here to stir shit up?
They mean your feelings, not their feelings.
How terrible do you have to be for that collection of terrible people to throw you out of their hate group?
I came to Lemmy and Mastodon today instead of Twitter and Reddit. So far, the experience has been positive.
First day, checking in. So far, so good.
He won’t
