  • I think that’s a pretty fair take. I do think players should be given more grace than refs though; players have adrenaline pumping and are more likely to act out because of that, but the refs should mostly remain professional. Obviously that doesn’t mean they should be demeaned or take inappropriate shit from players, but they should be able to keep their professionalism and composure when players chirp at them.

    I mostly don’t understand why they made so many different awards. I thought Gold was a cool way of a user supporting Reddit while also showing their gratitude toward another user. After all, users cared about karma even though it didn’t really do anything so an award was just an extra “tip” of appreciation.

    It definitely lost its luster to me though once they changed it to awards and it became messy.
