Connect is much like Sync. In fact, I uninstalled Sync and went back to Connect.

I love the concept and idea of them and could see myself utilizing the ones that unfold into a tablet with the S-Pen. But the durability of those screens made me nervous.

No, I meant the instance itself. The server. The one who runs lemmy.ca is here in Canada with me.
It’s like when playing a game; You choose servers closet to you for the lowest ping time.
The other reason I neglected to mention was I like to support local. 😎
Agreed. I went with lemmy.ca since I’m Canadian and the instance is in my country.
I also heard Lemmy should perform a little quicker for me too this way.

He said it’s his only source of income, so he’s probably been busy trying to gain as much time as he could from Reddit while simultaneously trying to work out his finances and such. There are 1 billion active users on Instagram and those users were invited to Threads using an existing account. Celebrities, businesses, streamers, etc. all popped up on Threads within the first few hours of public release.
I’m a big nerd and just learned about the fediverse within recent months. Everyone else I know who uses Twitter and Threads have no clue what Mastodon is.
I couldn’t enjoy Liftoff since it doesn’t appear to have gesture support. Connect and WefWef are what I use until Sync for Lemmy is released.
Also, LiftOffs gigantic button at the top is an eyesore. I don’t find the UI as well done.
Make sure you keep an eye out for when Sync for Lemmy is released!
Just keeping you in your toes.
What are you using now? I’m using Connect for Lemmy and it feels very close to Sync because of gestures. I’ll be torn when Sync comes out because I’m enjoying this so much. (And Connect is Canadian like me. Haha)

It’s been like this in Canada for years. I’m not sure making our phones a wifi hotspot was ever free come to think of it.
