Besides the obvious so called “weapon platforms” I think my fav specific combo is Trinity with a gas paris prime incarnon. Gas can’t do much against armour and Trinity has an armour strip on her link. The problem is the link strips only 3 enemy so regular aoe weapons (that can’t kill armoured enemies) are able to kill only 3 enemies per shot. Yet the gas clouds persist after the shot so you have that satisfying chain reaction of sorts.

Is that the best build I’ve ever played? Not really. Can I do half an hour sp survival using it? I sure can and it’s almost chill (except ridiculously short duration of Trinity’s abilities).

As to the weapon platforms - I quite like nourish wisp, can slap any decent weapon and it’ll become a lot better, roar hildryn is just absurd with full strip and double damage from roar.

  • Well see, now you’re actually making good points that do have some value to them.

First and foremost, that a concept built by a bunch of students, it doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s goal is to prove the concept. The first ever built plain that actually worked wasn’t perfect - does that mean people who built it should’ve abandoned it?

Not everything has to be equally viable in all circumstance. Building made in regions with high seismic activity are built in a way to account for that activity. If one lives on a flatland with zero seismic activity - those extra resources spent on a building might seem worthless to such a person, but they are not and if said person says that "they can just build normal houses there, what’s the issue? " then the person is ignorant (and also a complete prick).

As to the car failing as an SUV - I haven’t seen where they driven during the test run so I can’t say whether or not it failed. They got from the point A to the point B so if I had to guess I say it worked fine.

    P. S. I’m not sure why I’m wasting my time on this with that attitude of yours with prove me wrong and such… Yeah, whatever

  • Uhm, I’m sorry but are you Pablo or someone else from the team to say what you’re saying with such confidence? If in your experience companions do insignificant damage it doesn’t mean you was doing it right.

As to the whole “limitations” tirade you have up there - it’s already limited by the fact that you need to forma your stuff, you can’t just put everything you want form the get go - you have to invest resources and time to do so. OP did exactly that - all of the slots are forma’ed yet he simply can not fill up all the slots because of the mod drain limitations which is just silly. I get the point that if I want a companion to have two separate builds for two separate scenarios I might not be able to fit both on a single companion and I might need a second one, but that’s not the case there - OP just can’t have the build he wants and no amount of investment will fix that.

  • Well, that’s probably a wrong kind of ‘open’ to what FOSS means by ‘open’ yet I’m not convinced. With the whole 'anybody can make an instance and collect all the data they wan’t it’s kind of awkward and messy. How much of the said data you can obscure/encode without losing the openness between instances?

Because if one instance can’t verify actions of another then you have an issue dealing with bots and overall the platform becomes way more obscure and less reliable as a source of information.

And like if the buttons themselves had an ability to openly show who upvoted/downvoted a post - how much of a difference would’ve been here? I don’t feel like it’s such a concern.

The point about deletion/edits - it’s not about removing your info from the internet, it’s about correcting what’s wrong for the sake of providing correct. If it’s on the internet once it’s there forever. I don’t see people complaining about weyback archive doing their thing. Yet it’s doing exactly the same thing possibility of which upsets so many people here.

If you monkey brain posted you home address and where the keys are - it’s on you, not on the internet for storing the info.

The only real point I see here is corporations/governments scraping all this data for their use. Yet as long as they can federate there’s nothing much to do and if you try to restrict federation then it’s just a bunch of forums with extra features.
