It’s funny you say that. Husband and I are 2 years apart in age. It’s amazing what 2 years does. He doesn’t understand tech. At all. He’s definitely gen x. I grew up being told I was gen x but now I might be millennial, I might be gen x or I might be a weird 2 year micro generation between the two. I’m really good with tech. I can just look at things and generally see how they work. I also started using tech/computers a lot earlier than he did, so maybe that’s why.
It’s location dependent, but LAPD isn’t any better. At least here in SD, the sheriffs that I’ve dealt with have all seemed to want to be good people, and tried to help.
Like I said, I was mostly just curious. I’m in San Diego county. Typically here, you have sheriff everywhere except cities with large enough populations or high enough crime rates to justify an actual police department. IMO all the cities that are sheriff are FAR better than any that have PD to be in/live in.
Genuinely curious. Why does a tiny town even have a police department? Why doesn’t the sheriff handle it with the neighboring towns?

Unfortunately, no. There are a handful of emails, that no matter what I do, always go to the spam folder. I was told making them VIP would keep them out of the spam folder, but I can say with certainty that’s not true.

At this point, because I’ve seen the show, I’d have to go back and re-read all the books, to even start Winds of Winter. It’s all so mashed together in my head, I don’t remember the real story very well.

@Mrmcmisterson i have had iPhones for forever now. The only place i see ads (that Apple has control over) are the one bar in the App Store now, which didn’t happen until what 2 weeks ago. Every other ad is within an app itself or online.
Even Apple News doesn’t have ads. Nor do any of their exercise or music apps (at least not that I’ve seen)
@ryathal back in the day, when most wireless mice and keyboards had those little dongles, and people used to keep their computer tower either on the corner of their desk or under it, I used to have a prank war going with a coworker. We used to do dumb shit like fill a shit load of little cups up with water and set them everywhere in their office, or glitter/confetti in things that when you opened them it went everywhere. Or wrap everything on the desk in foil or saran wrap type things.
Coworker was older than me, and not the most computer literate guy. I’d go into his office, and disconnect the dongle, while he was away from his desk. Watching him rage about his piece of shit computer was always great amusement.
