    As much as I agree with much of the opinion in the article that kids needs housing, I cannot see Labour fulfilling that void in the short term. Supply of materials and skill base is an issue. A lot of our builders went back to the EU. Our supply of building materials comes from the EU, which in turn is very restricted. There will be no quick fixes when it comes to house building.

      Every party also needs to deal with the nimbys. Most of us agree that we need more houses and infrastructure, but very few people are electing their own local areas for the projects.

        Labour have mentioned taxes for nimby areas. This is something I have said for a long time now. If you want those views at the expense of everyone else then pay for it. Give cities much cheaper fuel costs etc.

      True that it won’t be a quick fix, but at least Keir Starmer seems to want to mend our relationship with the EU, while the Tories are still stuck in deep denial.

        I am very much pro-EU, but there is a lot of work to do on that front.

        100% agree. We should also be looking at removing those student fees. Kids have a hard enough time as it is.
