My opinion is that the media is being sensationalists about his performance. While it wasn’t stellar, it wasn’t as bad as people like you are making it out to be.
He’s also known to not be very good at public speaking. It’s been known his entire career. Yet you all seem to conveniently forever this when it helps push your agenda. Half the country runs believing in Fox News, and our literacy is below the sixth grade level, well before reasoning is introduced to the curriculum. I consider myself a fairly logical person, and I see the idea of operating on reason-first (I phrase like this for clarity, as emotional-based choice is valid after processing after reasoning is established) virtually never followed, even when claimed. I have lost multiple jobs because of this exact problem. I am an advocate of it in all situations.
Outside of my bubble, I have watched universities purge philosophy, and all philosophy courses, from their systems. There’s a shift in the definition of True, with the “post-truth” movement. You can see how much reason influences the public with how they prosecute minorities, where bigotry is believed over decades of statistics.
Reasoning is non-existent here. Moot, no, reasoning is not of no practical importance, but it cannot be depended on here at this point.

Everyone responsible for this reality where these two people, that are entirely unfit for it, are the most popular presidential candidates.
There are no real winners here. Everyone is gonna have it worse after this election, except for rich people.
If the media had started bullying biden earlier, there would be a different democratic candidate now.
But at the end of the day, our friends and family in the LGBTQ+ community won’t have to suffer under the iron fist of one of the choices-
and this is just one of the many reasons outlined in Project 2025 that give reason to vote against Trump.
