They keep dreaming about “overthrowing Putin” through committing blatantly terrible, terroristic acts. Honestly it’s really revealing… This has always been their modus operandi and yet again they’re outright stating it. Their automatic answer to literally anything, anywhere, is funding terrorists and extremists. And they wonder why the entire world, and even increasingly their own citizens are tired of their shit…

I feel like this terror campaign is not going to end well if the goal is to drive the people to overthrow Putin. If anything, I’d wager the people would pressure him to retaliate with equal to extra force.

Russia is too hesitant and weak on the west. I get they are afraid of escalation but I wish these Russian liberals would get it through their skulls that the west is over for them, they aren’t going to come to terms with them that work for Russia, they’re not going to get sanctions relief and in fact taking too long to recognize the threat landed them in this long boondoggle of a war in the first place.

The more innocent people that Ukrainian terrorists kill, the more determined Russian society becomes that they are facing an existential threat that cannot be negotiated with and must be eradicated once and for all. This isn’t rocket science, it’s not hard to figure out.

And just in time for the peace demand by Russia. And just after Ukraine got 10 more years of supplies.

Seems like someone envisions a war which Russia has to end with the complete occupation of Ukraine. Which would take long enough to get the europeans to throw troops in there, too.

I’m very cynical about these sorts of “deals”. I think in reality they are just meant to create short term morale boosts for Ukraine to keep stringing them along with yet more false hopes. I don’t think the US/NATO have either the capability or the intention of keeping any such promises.

It’s just like when they dangle the NATO membership carrot in front of them despite knowing full well it’s never going to happen, just so they can drag the war on a little longer.
