Looks like we’ll have a 50-50 chance of clear skies.

I’ve been hoping for something like this but it does confirm my concerns for my area. Really hoping it works out.

I will say that I was present for the last one in Wyoming and the traffic there was insane. I’ve been to Wyoming many times and the traffic there normally is existent at its worst. So make sure you’re there early wherever you’re going.

It’s good that it’s over a wide area all over North America so not everyone is converging on one spot. I’ve been thinking of seeing it in Ontario, but I haven’t firmly decided whether to see it in Niagara Falls (probably fun but I expect it to be very busy), Hamilton (closer to Toronto) or Leamington/Chatham (rural but the area is known for clearer weather).

Yeah, I’m really hoping it ends up being clear skies. The next one isn’t until 2079 (for this area) I think, so this one will probably be my only chance. Really, I could just stay home and see it but I’m just on the edge of the path so I might as well drive the hour or so and get right on the centre. I’m planning on taking the day off, leaving early, and making a day of it.

If you’ve never seen it then I highly encourage you to be in totality at any reasonable means you can. I’ll never forget my first time. It truly has to be experienced.

Well, it looks like there isn’t a whole lot of variability across the province, so that’s good, I guess.

I’m planning on staying in Hartfield. Hopefully I can find a place to set up my cameras.
